FAQ

What's included in the retreat price?

Each retreat is unique, but your retreat fee typically includes accommodation, daily workshops and tuition, all meals, group activities, and any experiences outlined in the itinerary.

A detailed list of inclusions and exclusions can be found on the individual retreat page.

What's not included?

Unless otherwise specified, flights, travel insurance, airport transfers, visas, personal expenses, and art materials are not included in the retreat price.

Please refer to the specific retreat information page for full details.

How do I get to the retreat?

Once your booking is confirmed, you'll receive a detailed welcome pack with all the information you need, including directions, arrival instructions, transportation options, and local travel recommendations.

Which airport should I fly to?

The recommended airport is Chania Airport (CHQ). The villa is one hour drive from the airport.

What happens on arrival?

On the first day of the retreat, our team will welcome you and help you settle into your accommodation. You'll have time to relax, meet fellow participants, and ease into the retreat before our  welcome dinner.

How do I book and pay?

To secure your place, simply complete the booking form and we will send you by email a payment link for the required deposit. The remaining balance is usually due several weeks before the retreat begins.

Payment plans are so available. Please contact us if you would like to discuss flexible payment options.

What is your cancellation policy?

A non-refundable 30% deposit is required to confirm your booking. The remainder can be paid in full or through a payment plan. Personal travel insurance is advised.

What happens if a retreat is cancelled?

There is a minimum of 6 participants in order for the retreats to happen. In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a retreat, all payments made directly to us will be refunded in full. Please note that we cannot reimburse flights, accommodation booked independently, or other travel expenses, which is why travel insurance is highly recommended.

Do I need experience to attend?

Not at all.

Our retreats welcome participants of all experience levels, from complete beginners to established artists. Workshops are designed to support individual growth, and instructors offer guidance tailored to each participant's level and goals.

What should I bring with me?

You will receive a detailed packing list before the retreat.

In general, we recommend bringing comfortable clothing, suitable footwear, sun protection, any required medications, and your personal art materials if specified. Some retreats provide certain materials and equipment, while others require participants to bring their own supplies.

What will the meals be like?

Meals are an important part of the retreat experience and often showcase fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients.

We do our best to accommodate dietary requirements such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets. Please let us know about any allergies or dietary restrictions when booking.

How many participants are usually on a retreat?

We intentionally keep our retreats intimate to create a supportive and inspiring environment.

Group sizes typically range from 7 to 10 participants.

How can I take my artwork home?

Most participants bring their artwork home in their luggage. We recommend leaving extra space in your suitcase or bringing suitable protective packaging.

For larger works, shipping options may be available. Our team will be happy to advise you on the best way to transport your artwork safely.

What if I have more questions?

We're always happy to help.

If you have any questions before booking, please contact us and we'll be delighted to assist you.
